Rodney Eugene Floyd, age 50, of North Port, Florida passed away on January 22, 2014 in Melrose, Massachusetts. He was born on September 10, 1963 in Cincinnati Ohio. Rodney was a Project Superintendent for Odyssey Contracting in Houston, PA since 1997. His wife of 27 years, Joleen of North Port; two sons, Richard of Baltimore, Maryland, Ryan of North Port; his mother, Joyce Floyd of Ellenton, Florida and five sisters, Madonna Perez, Joyce Tripp, Melinda Stripling, Chlora Floyd and Katrina Floyd, survives him. Rodney was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Richard Floyd; a brother, Richard Grover Floyd and a sister, Anna Marie Levine. A visitation will be held at Farley Funeral Home in North Port on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 2:00-3:00PM with a funeral service to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Autism Speaks, 1060 State Road, 2nd Floor, Princeton, New Jersey 08540.
