Richard Peter Bellini

Richard Peter Bellini, age 73, of Venice, Florida, passed away on October 11, 2013. He was born on April 26, 1940 in Springfield, Massachusetts to Peter A. & Enes F. Bellini. In 1958 he graduated from Cathedral High School and from the American International College in 1963. Richard was a teacher for the Watertown City School District in Watertown, New York for 34 years. He was a member of the Watertown Golf Club for 34 years and the Italian-American Club also in Watertown. Richard moved to Venice in the fall of 2006 and was a member of the Myakka Pines Golf Club and attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He was an avid sports fan and loved his NY Yankees and was a season ticket holder for the Syracuse University Football games. Richard is survived by his wife Jayne of 39 years, a brother Peter (Geraldine) Bellini, four brother-in-laws John (Diane) Niewieroski, William (Julie) Niewieroski, Greg (Shari) Niewieroski, Lance Niewieroski, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation, P.O. Box 23827, Tampa, Florida 33623-3827 or to the MDS Foundation, 4573 South Broad Street, Suite 150, Yardville, NJ 08620. Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Florida is handling the arrangements.
