February 15th, 1928 - April 25th, 2013
Ethel Eleanor Middleton, 85, of Venice, Florida, formerly of the Bronx and Mahopac, NY, was welcomed into heaven on April 25, 2013. Born February 15, 1928 in New York City to Charles and Eleanor Sammis, she is predeceased by her husband Robert “Bob” Middleton, whom she married on June 6, 1948. They were blessed with four children. She was greatly loved and will be forever missed by sons Robert, Jr, (Mary) of Landing, NJ, Kenneth (Patricia) of Trumbull, CT, daughters Donna of Armonk, NY, and Lois (Jim) of Austin, TX. Also mourning her loss are her grandchildren, Robert J., Timothy, and Andrew Middleton, Sean (Lisa) and Michael Middleton, Robert (Alicia) and David (Danielle) Kortlang, and Nicholas and Emily Tallman, her great grandchildren, David Ryan Kortlang, Dakota Jennifer Kortlang and Christopher Sean Middleton. Ethel was loved and will be missed by her brother Charles Sammis (Brenda) and many nieces, nephews and long time friends. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Jennifer Kortlang, and by her sister Carol Sammis Hoffmann. The family wishes to thank her caregiver and friend, Diane Hobor, for her companionship and loving care of their Mom.
