Robert Raymond Stapish

Robert Raymond Stapish, age 90, of Venice, FL, died on April 16, 2012. He was born in Chelsea, Michigan on February 4, 1922 to Raymond Howard and Minnie Audrey Stapish. Mr. Stapish graduated from St. Leo Catholic High School in 1940 and began working for Michigan Bell. He enlisted in the US Naval reserve in 1942, then the US Army in 1943 where he served during WWII. He returned from military service to continue working for Michigan Bell, and retired in 1978. Mr. Stapish moved to Port Orange, FL from Presque Isle, Michigan in 1995, and recently relocated to Venice. He is survived by his step daughter Cindy Bock and stepson Richard Taylor; and long-time family friends Deanna Sadlowski and Donald and Pat McFarlane. Robert was preceded in death by his wives Jeane (McFarlane) Stapish and Mary (Noland) Stapish Services will be held at a later date in Michigan. Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel is in charge of local arrangements. Services will be held at a later date in Michigan.
