View Video Tribute Suzanne Fricke Tunis was born on October 22, 1935 in Montclair, New Jersey. She moved to Sarasota in 1949 with her family, where she lived for 50 years. In 1999 she relocated to Cartersville, Georgia. Two years later she returned to Florida settling in North Port. Suzanne was preceded in death by her husband, F. Parker Tunis in 1994. She is survived by her daughters, Michele L. (Jimmy) Whitten of Cartersville, Georgia, Amy M. Tunis of North Port and close friend, William Barbour. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Sarah N. Telliard, William P. Telliard, Anna S. Whitten and great-grandchild, Aubrey all of Cartersville, Georgia. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, January 23, 2012 at St. Wilfred’s Episcopal Church, 3773 Wilkinson Road in Sarasota with inurnment to be later in the church memorial garden. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to an animal shelter of your choice. Farley Funeral Home in North Port is handling the arrangements.
