Max L. Jones, age 51, of North Port, Florida, passed away on November 27, 2011. He was born on February 25, 1960 in Marshall, Michigan. Max grew up in the area of Sarasota, Venice and Englewood where Schmehl & Harkness Construction Company employed him for the last ten years specializing in Master Craftsman cabinetry and finishing woodwork commonly for the area of Boca Grande, Florida as a band member of the church music group playing bass guitar. He was a loving husband and father as well as an avid musician, and devoted fan of University of Michigan football. He leaves behind his loving wife Jan of 20 years; son, Zachary; daughter, Alexandria; father, Donald; brother, Todd; sister, Jodi; two nieces and one nephew, as well as many friends within the local community. A memorial service will be held at the Suncoast Worship Center located in Englewood, Florida at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 3, 2011. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army. Farley Funeral Home in North Port is handling the arrangements.
