Genevieve Smedley, age 80, of Venice, FL, formerly of Croydon, PA, died peacefully on October 2, 2011. She was born in Philadelphia on January 31, 1931. Genevieve worked for the Courier Times in Tullytown, PA and was an avid Philly’s fan. She loved taking trips to Atlantic City with her sisters and playing Bingo. Surviving family members include her daughter Mary Donohue (John) of Venice; son Gerald Smedley, Jr. (Marilyn) of Croydon; grandchildren David and Christen; and sister Lillian McCloskey of Clermont, FL.
