Memorial

Ulrich A. Jedel, beloved husband, father, brother, Opa and friend, passed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2011. He was born in 1932 in East Prussia, Germany, the son of Martha and Adolf Jedel. He came to America in 1956, raised his family in Ohio and retired to Venice, Florida. He is preceded in death by his first wife Betty Lou Jedel as well his sister Irmgard, and brothers Horst and Heinz. He is survived by his wife Hannelore Jedel, his children David (Helen) Jedel, Rick (Monica) Jedel and Rosemary (Greg) Jedel Graff, stepsons Peter (Cathy) and Rolf (Chris) Truemper, six grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren. He retired from PCC Airfoils, was an active member of the German American Singing Society and volunteered for the Canton Football Hall of Fame. Ulrich will be remembered for his sense of humor and kind heart; he reminded us to ‘count our blessings’. He loved playing the harmonica and dancing the polka and we all enjoyed his German songs at the dinner table. Memorial service will be held at the Paris cemetery in October, date pending.
