Harold Orrin Shelton, 61, Sarasota Fl left us on January 23, 2011 after a long and courageous struggle with cancer and related health issues. Harry was born March 5, 1949 in Harvard, IL and has lived in many locations, but the mountains and valleys near Reno, NV have always been his special place. He served his country from 1967-1970 and was discharged from the U.S. Army with many honors. Harry loved life, fishing, helping the less fortunate, and his animals. He was predeceased by his mother, Ottalee Shelton. He is survived by his best friend and soulmate Jane Gailey, father Kenn Shelton, sisters Sherry Willie Cavanaugh (Michael) and Jamie Gibson (Ken) and by brothers K.B. Shelton and Curtis Sievers. He will be sorely missed by his friend Justin Carlson. A private memorial gathering will be held for family and friends. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army.
