Margaret R. Gould, 86, of Venice, FL, formerly of Coventry, CT passed away Tuesday (November 16, 2010) after a ten year struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Peggy was born in Boscawen, NH, the daughter of Thomas and Alice (Hannaford) Russell. She was the widow of Chester S. Gould “Big Chief” to whom she was married for 59 years and raised a loving family of five. As a young woman, she and her family moved to Connecticut. She retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and was a member of The Quarter Century Club. Peggy found most enjoyment in being surrounded by her family and her grandchildren, especially at the summer cottage on the lake in Maine, swimming, waterskiing, boating and all those lobster dinners everyone so enjoyed. Peggy and her husband thoroughly enjoyed their retirement years and were very active at their winter home in Florida entertaining, bowling and golfing. Peggy is survived by a sister, Katherine Bush of NH and a sister in law, Iola Beauchene of Pike, NH, two daughters, Shirley Bucci and her husband Peter Bucci of Hebron, CT and Donna Lewis of Utah; a son Stanley Gould and daughter in law Cheryle of Lancaster, MA; and a former daughter in law Maria Muscatello of Middletown, CT., 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. Peggy was pre deceased by a son Robert Gould of Middletown, CT and a daughter Janice Edwards of Hampton, CT. .
