Andy Leonard Lowry
October 10th, 1928 - November 10th, 2010
Andy Lowry, 82, of Venice, FL died on November 10, 2010 at home with his wife of 60 years and his two children by his side. Andy spent his civilian career with American Electric Power in Columbus, Ohio, retiring as Managing Director after 35 years of service. He was a retired Colonel, US Army Reserves, having served active duty in Germany and Virginia, followed by 30 years service in the Reserves. He is survived by his wife, Sally, daughter Anne (Jeff) McDaniel of Williamsburg, VA, son Chris (Amy) Lowry of Kirkwood, MO, grandchildren Leslie (Mike) Dingeldein, Lori (Scott) Marple, Kelly McDaniel, Gillis Lowry, and Benjamin Lowry; great grandchildren Sarah Dingeldein and Brooks Marple, and many nieces and nephews. Andy especially enjoyed the times he spent with his nephews Mike (Kathy) Lowry of Manasota Key, FL and Jim (Liz) Lowry of Tampa, FL, and their families. Memorial services will be announced later. Interment will be private for the family at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Venice Theater.
