Edward L.C. Foster, age 86, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away on September 21, 2010. He was born on October 31, 1923 in Brockton, Mass and was an oil executive. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and flew over France during D-Day and during his stay in England he flew 75 missions over Europe. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lia and a son, Robert of Croton on Hudson, New York. A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Osprey at 10:00AM on Friday, October 1, 2010. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
