Gary Michael Pretsch, 53, of Venice, FL, formerly from Vermont and New York died April 26, 2010. Gary was born April 21, 1957 in Queens County, NY. He was an All-County soccer player and talented chef. Survivors include his daughter, Candice F. Pretsch of Orlando, FL; mother and stepfather, Joan and Bill Beddow of Venice, FL; father, Gerry Pretsch of Orlando, FL; and sister, Judy Farabaugh of Northport, NY; step-brother, Bill Beddow and step-sister, Sandra Beddow, both of Naples, FL. He also leaves aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Gary will be remembered for his sense of humor and optimistic attitude. Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory, Venice Chapel, is handling arrangements. Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM with a Celebration of Life Service at 5:30 PM, Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel.
