Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Venice
Kenneth J. White
April 9th, 1921 - January 9th, 2010
Kenneth J. White of Venice, FL, formerly of Honolulu, HI, died Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Venice Regional Medical Center. He is survived by Beverley, his wife of 37 years; son Kenneth J. (Sheryl) of Denver, CO; daughters Gail B. (Charles) Bushrod of Colonial Beach, VA, Kim A. White of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, and Tracie T. White of Bradenton, FL; granddaughters Dawn, Brittany, and Kelsey; grandsons Norman, Cory, and Joseph Smith; niece Pola Moore; and nephew Pol Hill. He was predeceased by his sister, Dolores W. Hill, and a son, Alan G. White. Since he was a young man, he had but two passions in life; to fly airplanes and play golf. As an avid golfer, he played whenever and wherever he could, most recently as a member of the Plantation Golf & Country Club in Venice, FL. His passion for flying was sated when he joined the Army Air Corp and was trained to fly in Tuskegee, Alabama, as a member of the 99th Pursuit Squadron, a group of proud men known as the Tuskegee Airmen. He continued to use his flying skills during his employment with the Federal Aviation Administration from Washington, DC to Honolulu, HI.
