Robert Joseph Carpenter, Sr., age 54, of Venice, Florida, passed away on December 4, 2009. He was born on September 25, 1955 in Bridgeport, Connecticut and moved to Venice in 1999 from there. He was an independent contractor for over 20 years. He is survived by his son, Robert Joseph Carpenter, Jr. of Venice; a daughter, Amanda Carpenter of Ansonia, Connecticut; his father, Robert L. of Venice; two sisters, Barbara Jean Lucas of Trumball, Connecticut, Laurie Carpenter of Orange, Connecticut and two brothers, William of Trumball, Connecticut and Lawrence of Anaheim, California. Funeral services will be Private. Burial will follow at Venice Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to TideWell Hospice & Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Florida 34238. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
