Proia, Joyce, fka Joyce Morgan Aug 21, 1928 – Oct 27, 2009 Memorial service at New Horizon Methodist Church 5741 S. Flamingo Rd Southwest Ranches 33330 Sunday Nov 1st 3 pm. Joyce was predeceased by her 1st husband Paul Morgan in 1980 & is survived by her 2nd husband Bill Proia; her sons David & Paul Morgan; daughters-in-law Gudrun & Colleen Morgan; step-daughter Lisa Velazquez; grandchildren Wesley, Alex, Chris, Shannon & Stephanie Morgan & Miranda & Chloe Burnham. Save the last 5 yrs in assisted living, Joyce lived all her life in Dade & Broward Counties. Born in Miami, she attended Jackson High & Univ. of Miami. A homemaker while her sons were young, she afterward enjoyed two successful careers: customer service with Bell South and real estate sales with Coldwell Banker. Joyce retired in Pembroke Pines where she enjoyed family, travel, church & volunteer work. She was a committed Christian & member of the United Methodist Church for 56 yrs. Memorial donations: Alzheimer’s Association, Florida Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches.
