Fred Nagy, age 76, of North Port, died on October 18, 2009. He was born on April 6, 1933 in Hungary, and came to North Port 18 years ago from Chicago. He worked as a house painter, and was known as a fun loving, generous man who was willing to help everyone. Fred enjoyed playing golf and was a professional wrestling fan. Surviving family members include his wife, Maria of North Port; daughter Marie Reder of Wheaton, IL; son Steve of Rolling Meadows, IL; grandson Daniel Reder of Cary, IL; sister Anna Sum of Budapest, Hungary; nephew Laszlo and wife Margit Nagy of Palatine, IL; and many other nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Farley Funeral Home, North Port Chapel on Wednesday, October 21st, at 11 AM Memorial donations may be made to American Lung Association, 12734 Kenwood Lane, Ste. 25, Fort Myers, FL 33907, or Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
