August 21st, 1948 - August 1st, 2009
Neil J. DaLessio, 60 of North Port, Florida and formerly of Glass Lake, NY, Died suddenly on August 1, 2009. Born in Troy, NY to the late Samuel and Anna (Geniel) DaLessio. He graduated from Troy High School and served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was employed as a Field Supervisor for Hollow Metal Specialists in Sarasota, Fl. He was a long time member of Sand Lake Ambulance in West Sand Lake, NY where he served many years on the Board of Directors. He was also an honorary member of the West Sand Lake Fire Department in West Sand Lake, NY for his help in restoring “Old Joe”. Survived by wife Holly (Garrett) DaLessio, five daughters, Kasey Parson of Delaware, Aimee Welsh of Saratoga, NY, Kelly (Robert) Mohan of Wynantskill, NY, Victoria DaLessio and Alexandra DaLessio of North Port, Fl. Two brothers, Michael (Yolanda) DaLessio of Berlin, NY, Chuck DaLessio of Ballston Spa, NY. Three Sisters, Maria (Rick) Walker of Baltimore, MD, Bernadette DaLessio of Ballston Spa, NY and Pauline (Drew) Willette of Schenectady, NY. He will be missed by his six grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and his wonderful friends from the “Hood” in North Port, Fl. Committal service with full Military Honors at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fl., at 11:00 am on September 11, 2009.
