J. Donald Stover, 76, of Venice, Florida died Wednesday May 13, 2009 at Venice Regional Medical Center. Mr. Stover was born June 7, 1932 in Lansing, Michigan to John D. and Kathryn (Benson) Stover. Mr. Stover moved to Venice in 1996 from Syracuse, NY. He retired in1986 from John Deere as a Branch Sales Manager in Syracuse, New York. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Venice. Don loved spending time with his family and enjoyed playing golf. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara K. Stover; daughter, Cynthia (Jim) Hook of Tecumseh, MI; son, Scott (Barbara) Stover of New Hope, PA; sister, Nancy Boatman of Sun Lakes, AZ; grandchildren, Jill and Hillary Stover and Tristan Hook; and beloved nieces and nephews.
