Raymond Jackson Sheets, 85 of North Port, Florida formerly of Marathon, Florida passed away May 5, 2009. Ray was born August 9, 1923 in Akron, Ohio to Urel Leslie Sheets and Lida Margaret (Powers) Sheets. Ray was a member of the United States Navy and served during WWII as an E6 1st Class. He was a member of the VFW in Marathon, Florida and a former Lions Club member. Ray is survived by his wife Shirley of 67 years, sons, Richard and wife Jane of Kankakee, Illinois and Jeffery R. of Key West, Florida; daughter, Susan Klemp of Yankton, South Dakota, and four grandchildren.
