Dorothy Olofson MacDonald, 80, a long time resident of Palmer Ranch Healthcare Center in Sarasota, FL died February 10, 2009 after a 10 year battle with an Alzheimer’s impairment. Dorothy was born September 27, 1928 in Littleton, NH Dorothy came to Venice in 1996 from Michigan. She was a Registered Nurse with the Allen Park Nursing Home in Allen Park, MI after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Plantation Golf and Country Club. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Robert, sons, Edward Olofson and wife Christy of Mesa, AZ and Eric Olofson of Dearborn, MI; daughter, Kristin Kochan and husband Christopher of Allen Park, MI; sister, Blanche Kowalczyk of East Tauton, MA; grandchildren, Thomas, Kyle, and Jonathon Kochan all of Allen Park, MI.
