Christine was an Angel sent to us to show us that we could still feel Love. Our love for her will spring eternal. By All Who Love Her Christine Ann Blackhurst, age 42, of North Port, passed away on November 17, 2008. She was born on December 17, 1965 in Greenfield, Indiana and moved to North Port 18 years ago from Jacksonville, Florida. She was a Certified Nurses Assistant. She is survived by her love and true friends, Eric Netzel of North Port; sons, Steven, Shawn, Shane Katzenberger and Zachary Blackhurst all of North Port; two step-daughters, Sara Netzel of North Port, Tasha Blackhurst of Englewood; two sisters, Michelle (Gary) Almond, Debbie (Bob) Bagley; two brothers, Scott (Sylvia) Ortwein, Robert (Shirley) Ortwein; a father Dave (Patty) Ortwein; a step-father, Mike O’Brien of Indiana; two nieces, Savannah Almond and Danielle Bagley; a granddaughter, Mia Blackhurst; father & mother in-law, Chuck & Sandy Blackhurst; three nephews, Jason Tillage, Josh Moore and Travis Ortwein. She also is survived by her YA-YA Sisterhood, they were friends that she loved and cherished greatly. She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Steve Katzenberger, I., and her husband Charles Blackhurst who recently passed away due to a valiant battle with cancer. A memorial gathering will be private. Farley Funeral Home in North Port is handling the arrangements.
