Carmela D. Segalla, age 88, of Venice, Florida, passed away on November 5, 2008. She was born on July 23, 1920 in Mt. Pocono, Pennsylvania. She was a graduate of Pocono High School & East Stroudsburg University. She was a school teacher in Canaan, Connecticut and moved to Venice in 1982 from Canaan and she was a member of Epiphany Cathedral in Venice. She is survived by her cousins, Tom & Cathy Battisto of Venice, Florida and Anne Vernieri of Wilmington, North Carolina. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Canaan, Connecticut with burial to take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in North Canaan, CT.
